Our 2nd annual 5k run and 1st annual 10k run are already in the planning stages for this year's Mothers Day. Thanks to your generosity, last years' event funded $15,000 in research grants in the field of Down syndrome at Duke University Medical Center, and was a huge success with 317 registrations, and 23 sponsors. That being said, we've decided to expand the race this year to include a 10k as well, and here is the best part: “Garner, a Great Place to be Running” is now a race series. Runners can now choose individual races to participate in or run the series of races to include “Caroline's, Catch me if You Can 5/10k” on May 10, and “White Deer Dash 5k” on September 26. That's right, CBFF has now teamed up with the Town of Garner to give us and our sponsors even more visibility! This year's race hopes to attract 450 runners from all over Wake and Johnston Counties.
